Dreadnaught retires from the professional scene

Dreadnaught, the captain and shotcaller of Tempo Storm decides to retire from professional play.

Tempo Storm was a widely revered team and had once been the uncontested leaders of North America. The team was able to oust Cloud9 in nearly all their matches in the past, and even managed to beat Team Liquid at the MSI MGA. Tempo Storm was without doubt a very feared team with a dominant presence in the professional scene. In the center of the team was none other then Dreadnaught. Dreadnaughts departure draws respect and bittersweet farewells from other professional players in teams such as Cloud9 and Dignitas.

What happened?
Zoia has stated that Dreadnaught is 'stepping-down' on the Town Hall Heroes show with SolidJake (You can watch the stream down below). Zoia discusses the future of Tempo Storm, including possible new additions to the team, and also makes public that Dreadnaught has decided to step down as a player while still staying at Tempo Storm as a streamer. Dreadnaught will go back to school, but will not leave the scene completely just yet.

What can we expect to miss from Dreadnaught?
Dreadnaught is without doubt a very good shotcaller, possibly one of the top shotcallers. His shotcalling is responsible for Tempo Storms success. As team captain, he was also responsible for keeping the team together in-game and coordinating actions. Dreadnaught was an avid support player, he was without doubt a source of inspiration for many support players out there. Quite notably, Dreadnaught loved to play Brightwing, which was always an interesting and refreshing pick to see. As previously mentioned, Dreadnaught will still be streaming. Therefore we may still see him making guides and general educational heroes videos.

How will this affect Tempo Storm?
Overall, Dreadnaughts calm composure in coordinating Tempo Storm will surely leave a void, thus leaving Tempo Storm in a disarrayed state. Tempo Storm may not be the same anymore, now that their total roster is down to two. They will be a new team if they ever do form again. Tempo Storm is now left with original members Kaeyoh and So1dier, but is adding Srey and Goku.

If you missed it, watch the Town Hall Heroes video above to see it all yourself.

On behalf of Gosugamers, I wish Dreadnaught (Wade Penfold) all the best in his future pursuits. Hope to see him stream soon. All the best!
