The enter the Storm Cup #3 finals takes place next weekend on September 11-13th. Can the underdogs continue the streak of upsets?
MYM and Puszek team were among the top 4 teams leading in points during the ETS #3 qualifier phase, with MYM especially dominating with a 128 point lead. Bob? was in second with 100 points, but they were able to prove their consistency against other qualifying teams, while MYM struggled to repeat the success of their past performances.
Mean while, Virtus.Pro (the clear favorite to advance) went undefeated. Pirates in Pajamas Pulled the upset against MYM and took the 2nd qualifier against MYM's Murky pick on Battlefield of Eternity. We have seen Murky work before on this battleground, but Pirates in Pajamas managed to punish the hero pick hard, wracking up 10 kills on the baby Murloc as the game ended.
It was predicted earlier that Puszek might have some consistency problems against more equally skilled teams, and that turned out to be exactly the case. It's hard to believe that Puszek team is the same team that once set Team Liquid to the losers bracket. Whatever the issue is, this current patch isn't working with the teams unique play style and their recent results show this.
The final qualifying teams that will play on September 11-13th are as follows:
- TL.HotS and ATNF from group A
- Na`Vi. and ROCCATHots from group B
- Bob? and FnaticHotS group C
Virtus.Pro HotS and Pirates in Pajamas
The Finals on September 11-13th will start at 18:00 CEST and will be casted as usual by Thomas “Khaldor” Kilian on twitch.tv/khaldor.
