Blizzard releases patch to hotfix Leoric and Zeratul

Two glitches, one involving Shadow Assault and the other involving Drain Hope, that could be used to to gain an unplanned advantage over your opponents have been removed from the game.

The above screen grab from the Blizzard forums was released earlier today regarding a hotfix applied to the Americas region. The Leoric fix is understandable, as it gave Leoric a noticeably massive damage spike against Dragon Knights and Garden Terrors. The Crushing Hope talent adds 10% of a targets max HP as bonus damage at the end of Drain hope, meaning that before this patch, Dragon Knights were taking upwards of 2,000 + bonus damage from one spell. Clearly not working as intended.

The Shadow assault glitch is a little more interesting:

Popularized by the controversy caused by MVP Black's usage of the glitch in the middle of a game they were already clearly winning, the community was up-in-arms about this exploit. It appears to stem from the same glitch that caused Rehgar to gain massive movement speed leaps with Feral Lunge, only Shadow Assault would allow you to travel huge distances in a matter of seconds.

Neither of these glitches were ever exploited in any major events, but it did cause the tournament wide ban of Zeratul during the Road to BlizzCon EU qualifiers.
