Tempo Storm's very own Kaeyoh gives his first impression of the new map and various balance changes. Vikings lovers be warned.
The end of an era is upon us. Lost Vikings nerfs, Illidan nerfs, and Malfurion buffs are just a few of the highlights of this patch, and Kaeyoh is here to give us his thoughts on the changes. His overall opinion is of course coming from a competitive viewpoint, but that doesn't mean it doesn't apply to casual play.
In his professional opinion, the new map will likely make for long games as the Immortals do not push very hard. The new mercenaries are a nice touch, but whether they are stronger than the other types is to be seen. The Lost Vikings are a lost cause as the rework significantly lowered their usefulness. The heavy promote playstyle is likely dead according to him, which should make for more interesting competitive play. He briefly talks about the new Possession, and a neat little strategy he found with it but all in all he thinks it will not be used.
Overall this patch is an interesting change for HoTS and personally I'm excited to see where this takes us.
