Heroes fans could expect no less from PGL. Both Gamer2 and Liquid were the clear favorites, as two of the top ranked teams in Europe. Throughout the series though, Liquid displayed their uncanny game sense and understanding of map mechanics. They were usually losing fight in the early stages of the game but never fell behind in experience and their team fight always took the momentum into the late game.

While Gamers2 had poor showings in Game 1 and 2, based on the close Game 3, this is certainly a team that has the talent to play against Liquid. Their coordination was good, but Liquid's ability to dictate the team fights and overall map control were too much.

Gamers2 goes down to the Lower Bracket to face the winner of Fnatic and SK Gaming while Team Liquid advances to the Grand Final tomorrow.

Game 1 (Curse Hollow) 1-0

Game 1 started as a peaceful experience gain. Through ten levels there were 0 kills and just one outer wall pushed for either team. On the critical third tribute for Liquid a team fight finally broke out. In the small confines of Cursed Hollow, the Lost Viking's longboat was too strong and Liquid won the fight, getting the first curse of the game. From there Liquid controlled the mercenary camps and took boss after boss for a quick minute 12 victory.

Game 2 (Sky Temple) 2-0

Early on in Game 2, Gamer2 had the advantage. Their early fight was strong and they won a couple small skirmishes, but Liquid kept their composure and were at the same level despite the kill disadvantage. Liquid's movements across the map were brilliant. They got experience and grouped at key moments. Liquid has such a strong understanding of experience gain and when to group. Gamer2 could never seem to get optimal position for a fight throughout the game. Liquid pushed the momentum and won at the 14 minute mark.

Game 3 (Garden of Terror) 3-0

Game 3 was by far the best game of the series. Gamers2 ran a more conventional lineup while Liquid ran their favorite Lost Vikings and Blackstop on Illidan. From the beginning, Gamers2 came out fighting. They took an early Terror and were constantly pushing all of Liquids outer forts. But as Liquid has done all series, they stayed calm, didn't force fights and waited until the later talents would carry them to victory. Sure enough, by the end game, Blackscorp's Illidan was dictating the fights and Gamers2 was caught running each time. After the last fight, Liquid pushed the bottom lane and took core.
