Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania usually host their WCG Finals together, and this year was no exception. Winning this year's qualifier was nV.Korporal from Latvia, defeating last year's winner [SoG]Cool2Die, also from Latvia.
The Baltic countries held their WCG preliminaries last week. Top 2 players from each Baltic country - Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania, the players battled it out in first two groups where Top 2 of each group advanced to a Double Elimination bracket. Representing Latvia were
[SoG]Cool2Die and nV.Korporal. Players from Estonia were 
2pac)Gena and Ron_ee. Lithuania, mostly known for ToT)Anon( who have turned to poker instead of StarCraft, had 
T.SQD)Kr and T.SQD)Deep as representants in this regional final, hosted in Riga, Latvia.The group stage eliminated the Lithuanian players, while the Latvian and Estonian players moved on to the second phase - the playoffs.

As the playoffs emerged, Cool2Die defeated Ron_ee, and Korporal defeated Gena. Throwing Gena and Ron_ee down in the Loser Bracket, Ron_ee defeated Gena and waited for the Loser Bracket final to start. The two Latvians Cool2Die and Korporal faced eachother in the Winner Bracket final, where Korporal won. Cool2Die got a second chance, after winning against Ron_ee in the Loser Bracket finals, but Korporal proved to be too strong for the former Baltic WCG champion.
This means that nV.Korporal will be the one representing the Baltic countries in this year's World Cyber Games Grand Final. Korporal did not only win his ticket to Monza, but also 150$ USD and a monitor (SyncMaster 970P).
