Prediction: 1st
The number two ranked team in both NA and the World, EnVyUs had their own impressive run in the closed beta as IDDQD. The mostly European squad put on an impressive show yesterday as they won the EU weekly despite playing from North America. Given the amount of skill and clutch play on this team I would not be surprised to see them in a second consecutive final.
Prediction: 2nd
Team Liquid is fresh off an impressive showing at Agents Rising, as the only team to take more than 1 game off of Cloud9. Their mix of veteran leadership and fresh talent has made Liquid a staple in the North American Overwatch pro scene. They will certainly benefit from Luminosity and Gale Force sitting this one out.
Prediction: 3rd
Another team that will benefit from some of the bigger names taking a week off, this all Finnish line up are promising up-and-comers. Despite their underwhelming performance at TakeOver, this team is poised to finally perform. They had an impressive finish in yesterday’s EU tournament, to eventual Champions EnVyUs in the upper bracket and Graviton Surge in the lower bracket.
Prediction: 4th
Made up of ex-Hubris players the 10th overall ranked team is set to make a strong showing this week as the field is missing some big names. Yet another strong beta team, as Hubris they dominated early competition in the closed beta. They started off strong in the Alienware Monthly Melee with a top 8 finish among the best teams in the world. Expect them to make some noise today.
