Team SoloMid buyout Team Liquid's KETIHMCBRIEF

It was sink or swim for long-time Team SoloMid AD carry Jason "WildTurtle" Tran heading into last weekend. The kick in the rear seemingly jolted Tran to show flashes of his previous form, but that might not have been enough to solidify his spot.

Team Liquid owner Steve "LiQuiD112" Arhancet confirmed on LiquidLegends that team substitute and Team Liquid Academy AD carry Yuri "KEITHMCBRIEF" Jew will be heading over to TSM permanently.

"We assigned our contract to TSM today in exchange for a price, Keith has been released from TL," said Archancet. "I'm really happy for him and we'll be figuring out what next steps are for Team Liquid Academy."

Jew was brought in last week for a tryout with the team with Tran struggling to play at a high level. Despite TSM's 6-2 record at the time, the team was plagued by sloppy play and poor decision making, prompting their desire to make a change.

The 17-year-old Jew made headlines during the spring split substituting for Chae "Piglet" Gwang-jin, helping the then struggling TL to a 5-1 record. Since his LCS cameo, Jew has continued his role as a team substitute while simultaneously serving as the AD carry for the organization's challenger team.

Neither team nor player has made an official statement, so some specifics are still unknown. One thing is certain though, KEITHMCBRIEF is now a member of TSM.
