-Updated- G-League playoffs schedule pushed forward

-Updated-

The first two rounds of G-League's playoffs is pushed forward, and more information about its format was revealed. There might also be some changes on the schedule of the groups.

The playoffs, which will be participated upon by the top three teams of each group, was first announced to be held post-Christmas day. However, GosuGamers was told that the schedule for the playoffs up to the semifinals is pushed ahead.

The top team from each group will still get an outright seed on the semifinals. However, the rank two and three teams will battle it out for the last two slots on a double-elimination format, with the second ranks going straight into the upper bracket and the third ranks automatically seeded into the lower bracket.

18 December

07:00 - Group A rank 2 vs. Group B rank 2 *winner advances into semifinals
10:00 - Group A rank 3 vs. Group B rank 3
13:00 - Loser of rank 2 match vs. winner of rank 3 match  *winner advances into semifinals

19 December

07:00 - Semifinals #1
13:00 - Semifinals #2

There is high possibility that the schedule of the group stage will also be altered. The original schedule worked around DK not playing on the first few days because of their EMS One Fall participation. However, they failed to get the necessary visa and are replaced by Vici Gaming instead. If VG is able to acquire their Polish Visa, then we will see some changes on the group stage schedule so they can join that tournament without forfeiting games on G-League. EMS One Fall is scheduled to start on 7 December.

The date of the Grand Finals is still uncertain, but it will still most likely be held next year. WPC-ACE will start its playoffs on 21 December, just a few days after the semifinals of G-League.

Each team will face all teams in their group once throughout the groupstage. All the matches will be played in a best-of-three format and the winner of each match will earn themselves three points. The second and third placing teams at the end of the groupstage will proceed to the quarter-finals while the top placers will be seeded into the semi-finals. The playoffs will begin after Christmas day.

Many refer to Group A as the group of death.
