ZerO (ex-Woongjin) goes into retirement

The wave of retirements in the Korean scene continues. Today, it is Kim "ZerO" Myung Woon, formerly of Woongjin Stars, that leaves the professional scene.

Known for his silver medal at the 2011 ABCMart MSL in the BroodWar days and his mastery in ZvT in Wings of Liberty, ZerO has been among the most important Zerg players of Proleague runner-ups Woongjin Stars along Soulkey. Although lacking any inidivdual achievements, ZerO was a driving force behind Woongjin's success in the Proleague, even making the top 20 of the best performing players, being the fifth best Zerg in the league behind Hydra, RorO, Effort and Soulkey.

ZerO was officially released from Woongjin Stars on October 1st this year, following reports of the team's financial difficultiesZerO was put on an non-cancellable 14-day waiver list alongside Aria, Bravo, Free, Hanbin and Organ, of which only Bravo managed to land a contract with SK Telecom after the fortnight period. Today, ZerO announced via his Facebook that he has retired.

This is the tenth Korean player to retire in the last two months alone, following the steps of Bisu, s2, Light, Flying, Mind, TheBest, sC, Shuttle and MarineKing.
