The open Winners Bracket of MLG is an important phase of the event. Why you ask? It is because the top 4 of it will advance to the pool play and will get the chance of skipping the whole deal with the championship brackets if he finishes first. So lets take a look at the contenders.

United States EGAxslav vs United States SixjaxMajor

Both players are coming as relative underdogs in comparison to the other names in the winners bracket. Still it should be an amazing TvP and although I haven't seen much of those players recently I believe it will be a really close game. If I had to throw my money on someone I would say Major will win this 2-1.

South Korea ST_July vs United States Agh

Oohhhh boooooy! It's July, guys, and he is Top 8. The God of War, BroodWar legend and GSL runner-up is going against Agh of the former team LG and I am not sure if the Protoss can stop July's march. The Korean has defeated times and times again the best protosses in the world and Agh is still not one of them so if everything goes normal, July should secure his place in the pools. However, there is a small chance that Agh can pull off something unpredictable, exploiting the fact that July is probably not familiar with him and get a victory. But still, I would say a quick 2-0 for July. Call me fanboy, I don't care.

Sweden mouzThorzain vs United States Fnatic.KawaiiRice

Thorzain comes as a reigning TSL 3 champion where he went 4-1 against Kas, one of the best Terrans outside Korea. He also managed to go through qxc 2-1 here at MLG so his TvT should not be underestimated. KawaiiRice, on the other hand, had an easier run in the bracket and I would actually give a 2-0 victory for Thorzain here, although, once again, I am not 100% sure. Also, I suck at predictions.

Sweden mouzMorrow vs Peru Fnatic.Fenix

Morrow's play has improved a ton since he moved in to the pro-player house in Sweden with a ton of other pro-gamers. His macro play and early defence is almost flawless and if he can deal with Fenix's aggression and harass play he will take that series. Probably with a 2-1.

So go tune in to MLG and see for yourselves how the games unveil. It will be an awesome Saturday!
