This is your chance to get into the $300,000 tournament.
With a prize pool well into the six figures, for a Hearthstone competition at least, the World Electronic Sports Games (WESG) is something to look forward to. The grand finals are promising a grand show in Shanghai later in the year but until then dozens of preliminary tournaments ought to take place before the final 24 players have been selected.
The first three spots have already been taken through the completion of the Africa and Middles East qualifiers, and the Europe and CIS preliminaries are currently on the way, which are to select 20 players to compete in Kyiv for the subsequent eight seeds into the grand finals. Next on the agenda for WESG are the North and South Americas tournaments, with Asia-Pacific coming last.
A total of eight Americas qualifiers will run between September 26 and October 2, covering both continents. The nations with their own tournament are the United States, Canada, Mexico, Argentina, Brazil and Peru, with the remaining countries being placed in two separate qualifiers.
