Decklist spotlight: Zetalot’s Resurrect Priest

Despite all the [card]purify[/card] memes, Priest is actually doing pretty well for himself on ladder with the new Karazhan editions.

Oftentimes, one [card]injured blademaster[/card] is hard enough to deal with, but what happens when there are six of them? With [card]Onyx Bishop[/card] joining Anduin’s ranks on top of [card]resurrect[/card], Priest players have now found a way to continuously issue threats and ask their opponents a tough question: Can you deal with my barrage of 4/7s?

While he notoriously struggled to reach legend with his signature class just before Karazhan, Hearthstone streamer Zetalot looks to be doing much better now with the revamped version of Priest in the new expansion. Not only does his deck abuse the resurrection mechanic to maximum, but also incorporates [card]barnes[/card] to put high-impact threats such as [card]sylvanas windrunner[/card], [card]ragnaros the firelord[/card] and [card]ysera[/card] early on the board. Here, the 1/1 stats even help, making the minion easier to kill and thus resurrected later in the game.

It wouldn’t be a Priest deck if it didn’t keep much of its reactive, synergistic nature. Auchenai/Circle and [card]wild pyromancer[/card] combos are here to deal with opposing boards while the almost somewhat underestimated [card]priest of the feast[/card] provides much needed sustain against aggressive decks.
