With the Menagerie now open, the face of Hearthstone Frodan tackles the Dragon Paladin concept with the newly released cards.
When [card]Dragon Consort[/card] was released, hopes were high for a strong Dragon Paladin deck, yet a year later none has been found. Now, Karazhan’s [card]Nightbane Templar[/card] has been introduced as a new board-developing minion for the early mid-game of Dragon decks.
Long-time caster Frodan got the Templar out of the Karazhan party and together with more new cards such as [card]The Curator[/card] and [card]Ivory Knight[/card] has built a new Dragondin deck ready for the testing. The low-end of the curve consists mostly of card-draw mechanics in [card]Loot Hoarder[/card] and [card]Jeweled Scarab[/card] and builds towards a very strong end-game where [card]ysera[/card], [card]chillmaw[/card] and [card]tirion fordring[/card] lie in wait.
Frodan’s build is very light on removal, lacking the blazing [card]equality[/card]/[card]wild pyromancer[/card] combo and running just a single [card]consecration[/card] and whatever board control it uses is in the form of weapons and – of course – trading with value minions.
