Amaz, Dog and AKAWonder will team up against a trio of poker professionals in an event where both games are played back-to-back.?
In an attempt to see which is the more taxing card game, the World’s Collide tournament will see seasoned Hearthstone and Poker players clash in a special swiss tournament. Representing Team Amazon Coins will be the familiar likes of Jason "Amaz" Chan, Esteban “AKAWonder” Serrano and David “Dog” Caero, whilst respected Poker pros Maria Ho, Doug Polk and Twitch's poker boss Scott Ball will make up Team Poker Central.
This event adds a new dimension to the unique relationship Hearthstone has had with the professional poker scene in its short history. More so than other eSports, the calculative strategies needed to succeed in both games are evidently similar enough that many Poker players have been invited to guest-compete in Hearthstone tournaments, and vice-versa, whilst Bertrand “Elky” Grospellier even received sponsorship within both pro-circuits.
