The fourth qualifier was exclusively an up-and-comers’ affair as no know names made it through.
The 32 players who will compete in Bucharest at the end of the month for the $25,000 and 42 HCT points of PGL Tavern Tales Spring are now known. After getting filled in less than 40 seconds, the fourth and final qualifier was held last night and ended up being the demise of multiple tournament favorites.
Among those who missed their last chance at making it to the main event were Complexity’s SuperJJ, Assembly champion Vortex, G2 marquee Rdu and French powerhouses pAc and Torlk. Many more signed up but couldn’t get to the coveted 128 maximum spots, the list of reserves going into the hundreds.
