Here are the current HWC standings a week before the Winter Preliminaries

ShtanUdachi and SilentStorm top the rankings in EU and NA, respectively; Handsomeguy rules APAC.

Scheduled for next weekend (February 13-14), the great culling for the first season championship will begin. In each region, the 128 top HWC point earners will join the Tavern Hero representatives from Fireside Gathering tournaments in massive double elimination brackets to determine which eight will make it to the Winter Championships.

The current for EU, NA and APAC have been updated today with the ladder points from the last season, though some open tournaments are still missing. With just a few big HWC events this season, players’ primary source of points were the legend ladder and open community cups. Thus, it comes as no surprise that known legend grinder Alexey “ShtanUdachi” Barsukov of Hellraisers is the frontrunner in Europe. The Russian has 27 points to his name, which put him ahead of more established players such as Hoej, ThijsNL, Rdu, Neirea, Kolento and more.

In NA the first spot is held by Celestial’s Austin “SilentStorm” Li. Known for his victory at ESL Legendary Series last year, the Canadian barely holds the top with 27 points as well, beating fr0zen (26) and Muzzy (25). In APAC, it was Sunbi’s Il-Mook “Handsomeguy” Kang who towers over players from Taiwan, South Korea and Southeast Asia.
