Even more Hearthstone is coming on streams this week

Two $5,000 invitational tournaments will fill the days until the next big LAN event.

Long-time tournament organizer WePlay and newly founded esports platform Time2win are putting up their own Hearthstone content, starting this week. Both of the tournaments will feature a $5,000 prize pool and are full invitationals.

WePlay’s Season 1 will have eight competitors in a round robin group leading into a four-man playoffs. The season will last about three weeks, with the grand finals being played on December 9th. With a three-day streaming schedule during weekdays, WePlay will be the tournament filling the blacks in the long marathon of offline events, which includes Gamegune (Nov 21-22), DreamHack Winter (Nov 26-29) and WCA (Dec 17-21).

In contrast, Time2win’s own invitational will be much shorter, spanning over two days Nov 17-18. 16 players are seeded into a single elimination bracket that will air today at 18:00 CET with Kaldi versus Ekop. Between them, the two invitationals harbor some of the biggest names in current Hearthstone, including PGL and StarLadder champion StanCifka, Cloud9’s heavy-hitter Kolento, HWC Europe runner-up Neirea, Tempo’s Eloise, Esports Arena champion Xixo and more.
