Here are the groups for the 2015 World Championship

The sixteen players know their opponents for the first round of games to start this week.

On Wednesday, October 28th, the final part of the Road to BlizzCon will begin. At 09:00 PDT / 17:00 CEST, the group stage of the 2015 World Championship will hit the streams with the opening matches of each group.

The groups themselves were revealed just minutes ago, the pairings delayed till virtually the last moment. The seeding has been executed in such a way that champions and runner ups are split evenly among the four groups, as are the regions themselves.

The highest peaking GosuRankings player ThijsNL headlines Group A, together with NoTomorrow, Kno and JAB. The Dutchman is opening the group against the EDG players while JAB faces the Japanese underdog.

Group B is stacked with established champions and rising stars. Lifecoach versus Kranich might very well be the highlight opening match, both players having proven themselves times and times again with the German having a solid 2015 record and Kranich being the only card slinger to attend back to back world championships. The other opening match is a battle of new faces, as the teamless Nias is playing China’s hopeful Zoro of Team Celestial.

Group C opens with Ostkaka playing the Chinese champion LoveCX while NA’s silver medalist Hotform meets the only SEA player to ever make it to worlds, Neilyo from Vietnam. Finally, we have Group D where Americas’ champion Purple is facing Pinpingho from Taiwan while Liquid’s Neirea goes against Celestial’s Zihao.

GosuGamers will be bringing you extensive coverage of the world championship, with news, VODs and features. Follow every second of the biggest event in Hearthstone with our coverage hub.

While you are waiting for the games to begin, tell us which you think is the hardest group at BlizzCon?
