Archon parts ways with Purple

Reasons for the Canadian's departure have yet to be revealed.

Ryan "Purple" Murphy-Root joined Team Archon as a player/coach in March 2015. Back then, he was only known as being a practice partner of current world champion James "Firebat" Kostesich, together with whom he also created the first successful versions of the now very popular Mech Shaman. Since he joined Archon he had some very respectable results: Purple just barely missed the Top 8 of DreamHack Summer and also qualified for the playoffs of PVPLive's HPL, which will happen sometime later this year.

Archon's management confirmed to GosuGamers that the player is no longer part of the team - however, no reasons were given thus far, so it remains speculative if the parting was a mutual decision or if Purple was rather forced to leave. An official statement is expected to be released over the weekend.
