Lifecoach, Vortex, Ostkaka and Powder are the first four to reach Assembly playoffs

The tournament in Helsinki is starting to fill up the playoff spots as the second group stage goes under way.

A lot of big names who went to Finland this weekend won’t be going home with a prize. The list of fallen competitors includes the likes of Orange, Neirea, Sjow, Maverick, Gaara and Rdu, the latter two losing in the second group stage.

The first two players to make it to the last stage were Adrian “Lifecoach” Koy and defending Assembly champion Teun “Vortex” Eielts. For Lifecoach, this is a fourth win in a row after the Nihilum marquee went undefeated on day one as well, trumping Finnish underdog MortalP and HouseCup champion Hoej. On day two, Lifecoach was successful against T/S’ Petar “Gaara” Stevanovic and then Vortex, who later had to win a tough 3-2 series against Dane Simon "Crane333" Raunholst to join Lifecoach on day three.

Group B became an all-Swedish affair as SeatStory Cup III finalist Sebastian “Ostkaka” Engwall took two five-game series to top the group. He was joined by fellow countryman Harald “Powder” Gimre who had to spar with Dima “Rdu” Radu in the decider for a place in the playoffs.

The winner of Group A will play the second place of Group B and vice versa, meaning Lifecoach versus Powder and Ostkaka versus Vortex as the first two quarter finals.
