As we're moving closer to August it seems reveals are getting more and more frequent. Here is a catch up on three cards which have been revealed from various fan sites and streamers.
The card reveals are just pouring in at this point, so here you have the latest ones from yesterday.
Trump was given the ”honor” of having to reveal this card and his reaction really told the entire story. This card looks extremely niche, comparing poorly to many other 3-drops like [card]Harvest Golem[/card] or [card]Shade of Naxxramas[/card]
That is not to say it is useless, Divine Shield can be very powerful when you get to decide on what to break it on. We saw that with Argent Commander back in the days. The low stats of Silent Knight are likely going to be a hindrance for this purpose though. This could be offset with buffs like [card]Blessing of Kings[/card] or [card]Defender of Argus[/card], but that's probably way too niche to be competitive.
Blizzard had a new blog post about the Inspire cards and we got to see a new one. Argent Watchman has not impressed a lot of people so far as its Inspire effect is not so much a gain, but more so a temporary removal of a drawback. The comparison to [card]Ancient Watcher[/card] was one that many were quick to make.
This is one of the those cards that is really hard to evaluate though. A 2/4 for 2 mana is strong and in an Inspire focused deck its drawback could be non-relevant while the strong body could be really good for a class like Priest which has historically been struggling with 2-drops.
We will see if this one makes waves. So far it seems like a very niche card to say the least.
At last we got this card. It was revealed through the Chinese Hearthstone site 17173.com (yes, that appears to be actual name of the site). It takes a book out of Goblins vs Gnomes by having RNG with an almost ludicrous level of variance. However, it should be mentioned that this card has a severe weakness in that your opponent will almost always have the opportunity to use the spell he got before you do, as you likely already have spent most of your mana on the turn playing this guy.
This poses quite a risk as a spell like [card]Flamecannon[/card] or [card]Eviscerate[/card] can make this a tempo gain for your opponent. Whether the inherent spell synergy of mage is enough to overcome this risk is something we will see after launch.
Note: This card was revealed in Chinese and translated by fans. As with all cards whose reveal came in a different language, it is possible that details were lost in translation.
