The biggest LAN event of the month is ready to start this weekend.
$25,000 are on the line for Assembly Summer 2015 for the second major Hearthstone tournament in the heart of Finland. With 32 players assembled through invites and a series of qualifiers, the competition in Helsinki is to happen July 30th to August 1st, giving away some of the last points for the World Championship campaign.
The contenders will go through two double elimination group stages before they’re reduced to the best eight who will advance to the playoffs on August 1st. The list of invites features what is pretty much the elite of European Hearthstone plus some overseas players. One of them is Christopher “Phonetap” Huynh, who recently became the newest players for Luminosity Gaming. The only two other non-Europeans are Flash Wolves’ Tom60229 and Vicious Syndicate’s Shoop, the latter coming through the open qualifiers.
