The Trump-captained team dealt Nihilum their first loss in the Archon Team League after another 11-game series.

Scheduled one day earlier than usual due to today’s big Hearthstone announcement, the fourth week of ATLC started with table leaders Nihilum taking on Trump’s Value Town. And as it’s been with every Nihilum match so far, a long and epic battle ensued.

Four games into the series, Nihilum were behind 1-3, put in a similar position to their previous match against Liquid. Knowing that if they can come back from a 2-5 deficit they can do the same here, Nihilum buckled up and Rdu and Lifecoach tied it at 3-3. This is where the see-saw trade of games began.

Still flawless, Kibler gave the lead back to Value Town, coining a perfect 8-0 record for himself in the league, but his team could never keep the momentum for more than one game. Ultimately, it came down to a showdown between Lifecoach and Dog in the final, eleventh game. Handlock faced fast Druid and by Turn 6 Lifecoach’s Gul’dan had already lost the race, as a surgical [card]Savage Roar[/card] pierced his defense for lethal. Nihilum were no longer undefeated in the league.

The second match of the week ended rather quickly. Dropping their first two games to Forsen Boys, Cloud 9 recovered with uncanny prowess, winning six of the next seven games for a final 6-3 scoreboard.

ATLC will not return until Thursday, then with two more matches. At 19:00 CEST, Tempo Storm plays Team Celestial and up next Liquid meets Archon.
