Former Magic: The Gathering Pro Tour champion is looking to win his first Hearthstone tournament in the upcoming finals of Dreamhack Bucharest.

The quarterfinals for Dreamhack Bucharest began today after only two of the eight invited players made it through the round of sixteen. The first match had Jakub "Lothar" Szygulski taking a convincing 3-0 win over Josh "Impact" Graham, once again proving his strength as a player despite his other roles for Team Nihilum. In the second quarterfinals, Stanislav Cifka took out tournament favourite Aleksandr "Kolento" Malsh in a close series and thus got his revenge from EU vs. CN Season 2 where he was eliminated by his opponent earlier this year.

The other half of the bracket played out in a similar manner with Harald "Powder" Grimre taking out Teun "Vortex" Eielts in a quick 3-0 series whereas world champion James "Firebat" Kostesich needed all five games to come out on top over newcomer Cosmin "Bekooze" Oprea from Romania.

The first semifinal featured Lothar with an early 2-0 lead against Cifka before he ended up being reverse swept. The winner of Firebat vs. Powder will move on to challenge Cifka in the grand finals later today.
