Massan withdraws from Kinguin PRO League, past and future matches to be erased

Harry "Massan" Cheong has decided to withdraw from the Kinguin PRO League due to "personal difficulties", a press release from the organizers states.

The Alliance division of KPL will become one player shorter as Pinnacle 3 champion Massan has forfeited the tournament. The Korean player and TSM member says that there are "personal difficulties" he has to deal with and that he will start participating in tournaments once those are resolved.

Despite the KPL entering its seventh week tomorrow, Massan has only played four matches, the last one being versus StrifeCro on March 26th. Now that he's decided to forfeit his spot, his past record in the group will be erased and his future matches canceled.

We are saddened to announce that Team Solo Mid’s Harry “MasSan” Cheong will not be attending the first season of Kinguin PRO League anymore. The reasons which led to the upper-mentioned decision were requested to remain private.

We would also like to thank him for the co-operation and professionalism displayed during our league. We wish him all the best in the future and we hope to see him play in our upcoming events.

It was agreed that MasSan’s results from his past matches will be erased and the Alliance group will be left at nine players total. We believe such solution is a fair one, as the players who have not yet played their games against MasSan will not receive any kind of extra advantage in form of a disqualification win.

How does that change the scores of Massan's previous opponents? The ones who'll lose from Massan's forfeiture are Sjow and StrifeCro, who scored 3-1 and 3-0 victories, respectively. While StrifeCro's record will remain perfect at 4-0, Sjow will go in the negative at 2-3 in the league.

In turn, Gaara and Xixo will get their losses to Massan also removed, which means Gaara will now be at 3-2 in series and Xixo at 2-3.

The KPL resumes tomorrow with whole seven matches. Follow the tournament on our dedicated coverage hub.
