Two five-game series opened the Saturday of HouseCup #2. TiddlerCelestial and TidesofTime now face each other in the winners match to see who'll win Group C.
Known for his quirky control builds, casters and fans expected TidesofTime to surprise against Roger, and in a way he did. Tides' Rogue and Warrior were defeated by the Taiwanese underdog and the WEC champion was uncomfortably staring a 0-3 loss. His final stand, however, was more than impressive. After stabilizing on his control Paladin, Tides then switched to a trap-less face Hunter to shock pretty much everybody, but take a 3-2 win nonetheless.
In the second match of Group C, Tiddler and Orange also went neck and neck. The final game five came down to a Warrior versus Mage battle and even though Tiddler was expected to bring his signature burst Mage, he had chosen the much more standard Mech build. A sound decision, considering how swiftly the mechs dealt with Orange's comfort Warrior pick.
Tiddler and Tides will now play to see who'll be the fifth player to the HouseCup #2 playoffs, joining Savjz, Hoej, Firebat and Forsen.
