Undertaker nerfed, now only gains +1 Attack

Season after season Undertaker has been a dominant factor in ladder and competitive play, a strong minion that the community wanted to see nerfed. Blizzard has not touched the card however, until now. A patch is set to change the strong Naxxramas card so its effect will only grant it +1 Attack.

Blizzard has announced a new balance patch that is likely to have a huge impact on the game as we know it. The ever so strong Undertaker, which many deemed as one of the strongest card in Hearthstone, has received a nerf. The card, which was introduced with the first expansion Naxxramas, gained +1Attack and +1Health for each Deathrattle minion you played. Being a staple in aggro decks, the card proved to be difficult to deal with and could end games within 5 turns if a player drew correctly.

After months and many seasons, Blizzard has now changed the card, so that it only grants +1Attack and the 2 Health will remain.

"Undertaker was frustrating to play against. It often gained both Attack and Health stats significantly above those of other inexpensive minions very early in the game. With this change, we expect Undertaker will still be better than other 1-Mana minions when played in a deck with a Deathrattle theme, but more likely to die in combat against other minions.", reads the official post.

Many speculate that this change is likely to see Undertaker being taken out of many decks, as his health is now too easily dealt with.
