Reynad announces unknown player Weiseguy as new Tempo Storm team member

In an interview at DreamHack Winter today, Tempo Storm captain Reynad announced almost completely unknown Weiseguy as the newest member of team Tempo Storm.

The latest signing for Tempo Storm has been revealed as team captain Reynad announced in an interview as part of Viagame's coverage of DreamHack Winter that a player by the name of Weiseguy had joined their line-up. Tempo Storm had had a vacant roster spot following the shock departure of TidesofTime to Cloud9, but it is unclear if the team are still looking to add any other players to their line-up.

GosuGamers had been aware that Tempo Storm were looking to add less high profile players to their team, selecting based on skill rather than name value, but in Weiseguy they have signed a player who has been playing Hearthstone for a limited amount of time. Though Weiseguy has virtually no Hearthstone experience, let alone tournament experience, Reynad stated that he had "brought him over" from Magic the Gathering - though Reynad admitted that the player had had no high profile success in Magic either.

TidesofTime had been the marquee player for the team alongside Gaara, and his loss was certainly a blow for the team - especially since it meant that rival team Cloud9's roster improved at the same time. While some had speculated that a number of high profile free agents may be targeted by the team, most of those players have now been snapped up leaving a more limited pool of options. In the same interview, Reynad also claimed that no obvious free agents impressed him enough to consider making them part of his roster.

The team, managed by top Hearthstone broadcaster Frodan, is undergoing a period of transition following the loss of Tides, and also intends to relaunch its website in the coming weeks. Though their roster has now expanded to six, among those players are Reckful and Kitkatz who are almost completely inactive in competitive Hearthstone at this point.

In the interview with Seltzer conducted for Viagame, Reynad said:

"Weiseguy will be the best player in the game within a few months. I brought him over from Magic, so we have to teach him Hearthstone from the ground up. It'll work."

Time will tell if Reynad's confidence and unorthodox signing will pay off - there has been no indication that Tempo Storm are looking to pick up big name players following the departure of marquee player TidesofTime to Cloud9.
