Hearthstone community website IHEARTHU.com have acquired Team Don't Kick My Robot, rebranding it as Team IHEARTHU. The five man team and manager Poach will all continue with the organisation going forward.
Late last night it was announced on their website that IHEARTHU.com had bought out and rebranded established Hearthstone team, Team Don't Kick My Robot. The team was founded last Novermber by current team manager Poach, and despite the change of ownership Poach will be staying with the team as general manager.
The team boasts a strong line-up of players, including DTwo who will compete in today's World Championship group stages. Despite the late announcement of the team, DTwo will be wearing his new team's jersey when he competes later today. DTwo is currently ranked #14 in the world and #3 in North America, and is coming off an impressive World Championship qualification campaign as well as winning the Battle of the Best invitational and a strong showing in the recent Prismata Cup.
Faramir, another of the team's leading lights, was the last player to compete under the DKMR banner as he was eliminated at the RO32 stage of this weekend's DreamHack Bucharest tournament. Faramir was a semi-finallist in the recent Prismata Cup and defeated Rdu to win Gosu Cup #17.
Also on the team are Varranis, Powder and new recruit JRoc.
Commenting on the acquisition, team captain and DKMR founder Poach said:
"I had a blast building this team from scratch and have had the pleasure of meeting some amazing people.
"In order to continue growing this team an opportunity developed and I decided to take it! I am very excited for this new chapter in DKMR history, although sad to retire the name, we have joined up with a powerhouse company that is going to be bringing some amazing content to the community!"
