GamersOrigin 2 this weekend for $8,000

The second edition of the GamersOrigin Cup returns bigger and richer compared to its predecessor, with increased prize pool and a whole lot more known players.

The first GamersOrigin tournament was held in June this year in an attempt to bring the French Hearthstone community together at an offline event. Among the Frenchmen, an invitation was extended to Janne "Savjz" Mikkonen, then of team Curse, who ended up claiming half of the €1,000 prize pot as he ruled in the grand final.

The current edition aims to outclass the first in every possible way. Outside the French community, several "outsiders" will also be travelling to Parice, including reigning champion Savjz as well as names such as ThijsNL, Xixo, Greensheep and Ekop. Gnimsh and Amaz will give their voices for the commentary desk as they will be covering the weekend of October 25-26 for the English audience.

All signed players will be sifted through a massive Bo3 swiss bracket and the top 32 will move onwards to the playoffs. There, the format will change to Bo5 with a standard 4-deck-1-ban format, the winner of which will ride home $3,900 richer.

GosuGamers will be providing coverage of the event from the playoffs and on, including matchticker with GosuBets, stats, results and so on.
