Hearthstone comes to Android tablets this year, on phones in 2015

Blizzard card game will soon be on all popular mobile devices, a Battle.net blog post says. The dev team is looking to release the game on Andoid tablets first and then move on to mobile phone devices.

Hearthstone's mobile reach has been blooming since the game was released on Apple's iTunes in April this year. One day later, the game became the most downloaded iPad app in 16 regions, including the United States, further adding to Hearthstone's already booming popularity.

According to a Battle.net blog post, the development team is looking forward to make their game even more available, shooting for a mobile phone release early 2015.

We’re taking things one step at a time and we’ve got our sights set on a release for Android tablets, our next new platform, before the end of the year; we’ve just got a few more mana crystals to polish and some Angry Chickens to chase down. We’re also close to having Hearthstone out to our iPhone and Android phone users, but it’s become clear that we need a little more time to get that version right. While we have a build up and running internally, it needs a bit more work, and we don’t feel like we’ll be ready to share it with you until early next year.

The blog post also features an infograph with Hearthstone's numbers. Apart from the already known fact of having more than 20 million players worldwide, the graphs shows more than 3 million 12-win arenas, and 2 billion hours played, the latter equivalent to 237,350 years of playtime.
