Firebat leaves Copenhagen Wolves, big teams interested in his services

Firebat, who will compete in the World Championships next month, has left the Copenhagen Wolves team - instantly becoming one of the sport's hottest free agents.

GosuGamers learned from Firebat himself that he had decided to part ways with Danish team Copenhagen Wolves, after being with them for a period of just over five months. Firebat was the first player unveiled by the team back in July when they opened the Hearthstone division, which at this point comprises of DuckWingFACE, Cupcake and Backspace.

Firebat's reasons for leaving have not been specified.

GosuGamers also understands that Firebat has already been approached by several of the top teams in Hearthstone with a view to joining their line ups going forward, so it is possible Firebat will not be a free agent for very long.

Firebat is currently ranked #11 in the world and #2 in North America, and is best known for his impressive World Championship qualification campaign. He also was a semi-finalist in the inaugural Hearthstats League and has won a host of weekly tournaments to add to his consistently impressive performances on ladder. He is also considered a key practice partner for many in the sport.

Commenting on his departure, Firebat said:

"I'd like to thank Copenhagen Wolves for my time with them, and for having me be one of their very first Hearthstone players. I wish them the best of luck in the future, and look forward to the next chapter of my Hearthstone career."

The pool of free agents in Hearthstone is incredibly strong at the moment, leading to speculation that new teams may be established in the not too distant future.
