Kolento takes Prismata Cup for his second championship title

Cloud 9's Aleksandr "Kolento" Malsh emerged champion of Prismata Cup last night, besting newcomer SilentStorm 4-1 and taking his second tournament win after VGVN #2.

Swiftly rising through the tournament rankings and taking several high finishes in the last month including a gold at VGVN #2 and top 4 at VGVN #3, Kolento was regarded as one of the absolute favorites to take the second Prismata Cup. The Ukrainian went 5-0 in series and 15-1 in maps during the first day of swiss, further reasserting his position of top dog in the tournament.

Kolento dropped just one series the entire tournament, losing to SilentStorm in the last swiss round. The Canadian himself became the other big story of Prismata Cup, finishing with a perfect swiss record and beating Faramir in the semi finals with a flawless 4-0 to make a grand final splash.

Said finals went heavily into Kolento's favor, who had already defeated MYM's Semijew and Innovation's Neirea with 4-3 and 4-1, respectively. Though the score was tied after the second game, Ukrainian's Priest and Handlock went undefeated from there on, pinning a final 4-1 scoreboard and pocketing the $1,000 first place cheque.
