In a series of tweets, Managrind announced that effective this weekend there will be no more weekly MG tournaments after holding close to 150 events since the fall of 2013.
Managrind emerged as tournament organizer in October 2013 when the first editions of the Managrind Open were held. The tournament travelled to both the EU and NA servers and was at the time the most esteemed brand of competition available in the young Hearthstone scene.
With time, Managrind expanded to feature different formats of tournaments, including swiss and limited events. Although it featured no prize pool, the Managrind brand remained one of the best places where up-and-coming players went to forge their names.
Today, the Managrind crew announced via their Twitter that right after the Fridays swiss edition their tournament efforts will be discontinued. No exact reason is given, only the assurance that this is not the end of Managrind as an organization, simply the discontinuation of the open tournaments.
