The pairings for the Hearthstone segment of SeatStory Cup are here. The eight players have three days to prepare for their opponents before the tournament starts on March 7th, 14:00 CET.
$15,000 are on the line as the SSC line-up travels to Krefeld, Germany for what is the highest paying Hearthstone tournament to date. The double elimination Bo7 bracket now sees the matches for the first round.
The topmost match is between arena masters Trump and Ek0p, representing Liquid Value and DogeHouse, respectively. The last time the two met was on ESGN grounds when Ek0p took a 3-1 beating to Trump's face, showing him the power of control Shaman.
The bracket continues with the team kill between Gnimsh and Artosis who'll face each other for the first time on televised stage. Gnimsh has been one of the core and most consistent DogeHouse members, being the only player to take down their rival's ace StrifeCro at Fight Night.
Match 3 pairs former WC 3 pro Lucifer against DogeHouse superstar Savjz in what looks like to be an easy match for the Fin. Lucifer has the advantage of coming from a very unexplored region that is Korean Hearthstone and with the tournament allowing "secret" decks, things can go very wrong for the Mikkonen.
Finally, a Liquid team-kill between StrifeCro and Monk will close the first round. The two sitting at #2 and #6 in the GosuRankings, respectively, this pans out as the to-watch match for round 1, as the loser will have to go all the way through the losers bracket if he's to challenge for the trophy.
