Testie will be joining many legends over in Korea, as he makes his way into moving in with them all. So many great gamers have been in and are still in SK Telecom T1, it is no wonder why they invited one the best foreigners to come and join their squad.

Canada ToT)Testie(rS, who will now be known as SKT1_Testie, has joined the legendary Korean progaming team of SK Telecom T1. The team already home to eleven Korean gamers and two Chinese gamers is a historically great team. It has been through so much, well at least its players have been.

Recently though SK Telecom T1 added China =PNZ=Legend)lx and China LinYu)Pj after their breakthrough performance at CKCG. And now with the addition of Testie, SK Telecom T1 now houses three foreign gamers who are at the top of their game!

GosuGamers.Net managed to have a little talk with this legend in the making about his new team.

Testie, this must've been a big step in your career. How do you feel about moving to South Korea to pursue your dreams?
Well, I haven't been working towards the BW dream. Despite tournament results and gg.net ranking I have barely been playing except with my girlfriend. I wouldn't really call them dreams as my dream is here with Janice. But I feel this is too good of an opportunity to pass up. It's something i've thought about doing in the past, I never really took it seriously it was far in the back of my mind. But it feels great overall.

Nice reason. I heard you're taking Janice with you, is this correct?
Where did you hear that? Are you an idiot? No, she must finish school and is too young to travel to korea. I will not be gone for long and I will call her for at least 2 or more hours every day.

Okay. Do you have any idea what your salary will be, and how you will adjust to the South-Korean culture for the time being?
For the time being it is given on a trial basis of sorts. I will be considered a member of SKT1, but my salary will be under 15k until I have some results to prove myself.
Basically if I have a winning % vs all races within the first few months of playing, it will definitely help the salary increase. If I start off at greater than 50% during my infant stages of progaming, they will expect to see even higher %'s when I am a veteran.

Sounds interesting. How well do you think you'll fare against the top of the world, and what are your expectations on your first, say, month?
Well, vs terrans I expect to come out with a winning %. vs Tosses likely winning too though pro-gaming tosses are so much better at timing, I have to get back into the game re-adjust again. My first results will be losses vs them I think. Though, that shouldn't take long. vs zergs? Right now since i've kinda stopped playing for the last few months because of work and school. vs zergs, if I do win it won't be because I out skilled them in many cases. It will be because I gained some early advantage due to my knowledge of bw. I need to get some of my skill back vs zergs of their level. Though, I expect to win quite a few of those games as well.

Okay. How do you think you compare to the other 'foreign' progamers, PJ and LX, which are your future teammates?
I think it's impolite to say anything about my future team members. I just wish them the best of luck as well.

What about your race? Is it true that you're not allowed to race pick or choose random in korea, as opposed to the non-korean tournaments?
You can choose random so long as you enter a tourney as fully random and play nothing else. And specify you will play random and random only throughout that league, which is what I'm planning to do.

Interesting. Any last words before catching your next plane to Seoul?
My wife is going to kill me if I don't have a chance to come home once in a while~ T_T
Only kidding, she's sweet and very supportive. Love my Janice~

Okay, bye!

FighterForum managed to get a chat with the SK Telecom T1 manager, in which one of the subjects was Testie joining. Although we haven't translated the entire interview yet, we've found out that the manager is "very pleased" with the arrival of Testie, and that he expects him to slowly become a "consistent player in SKT1's lineup".
