Pirates Of Space, more known as POS, is a progaming team based out of Korea. POS was one of the best improved teams of 2006 along with Greatest One, G.O.. But they did not have corporate backing, which can be really good when it all comes down to it.
The Once "Broke" Team
Before today POS never had a corporation backing them up with a sponsorship. Corporate backing can affect a team greatly. The team will now get better living conditions and a lot better practice conditions than before.
POS was about due for a sponsorship, with their triple threat,
JulyZerg, 
Pusan[S.G], and 
Sea[Shield], the team is next to unstoppable. That is why they were one of the most improved teams of this year! Who would sponsor this team though? Well the answer is simple, MBC Game would sponsor them.Television to Sponsor
But wait, isn't MBC Game a television company? Yes they are, and it owns one of Korea's four network channels and a number of cable enterprises. The most known cable channel is of course MBC Game Channel.
The reason why this is an extremely smart move for the television company is that now their sponsored players will wear their "MBC Patches" to all their matches. This means that the three out of six seeds that are POS members in the OGN StarLeague will have a big fat sponsorship tag from the "enemy" of OGN.
Moonhwa (culture) Broadcasting Corporation and the EgoSys POS teams will soon unveil a new team name, new team logo, and new uniforms at a official launch ceremony that should be held sometime soon. MBC Game had this to say about their recent sponsorship.
"We decided to make a pro-gaming team to contribute to the Korean e-sports scene and to create new growth in the overseas e-sports scene. As MBC Game undergoes many changes in a new era, we can show to young audiences of 10s and 20s that MBC is a dynamic and vibrant company."
"While considering sponsorship we talked with MBC headquarters and they agreed to generous funding. The team name will not be "MBC Game," it will likely be "MBC"
The All Mighty Benefits for POS
Their are a large number of benefits for the new sponsored team. MBC Game will supply POS with top of the line conditions for the team and its gamers. The highest standards will be met by MBC Game, and top standards does mean exactly that. One thing that the sponsor is doing is that POS, for the first time in any pro team, will have separate housing and practice facilities for all gamers. Basically this means they will all sleep and live in one housing development and than they will go to another to work and practice.

I'm very happy about getting sponsored. Contract signing is still left, and I hope it will all go well. Team members are of course delighted. We are all looking forward to competing under the best environment. As captain, there is pressure to bring in good results. But I'll work hard as captain and repay my employers with results. 2005 was a year where I played for myself, the individual. In 2006 I will play for the team. Watch us as we continue to improve. We will be the best team of 2006.

I don't think the conditions have changed that much. We have always played our best and showed good results for our fans. Now we have only one goal - first place. Whether it's individual leagues or team leagues we'll be putting the name of our new team at the top.
