The Gladiatrix Cup is a new tournament highlighting women's MLBB

As we head towards the end of the year, Moonton and eGG Network bring forward the Gladiatrix Cup, a new MLBB tournament.

On December 8th, 2022, Mobile Legends: Bang Bang squads from both Malaysia and Singapore will begin their fight for a share of a MYR 20,000 prize pool at the Gladiatrix Cup. As Moonton and the Esports Integrated Initiative (ESI) strive to create a more exciting and inclusive ecosystem in Malaysia’s esports scene – this tournament will be focusing on showcasing the talents of the females wanting to reach the pinnacle of MLBB.

Fikri Rizal Mahruddin, the marketing and business development lead at MPL MY had to the following to say on this fantastic opportunity,

We are thrilled to launch the Gladiatrix Cup to fans of Mobile Legends: Bang Bang in Singapore and Malaysia. The popularity of gaming among women is on the rise and as such we are constantly exploring opportunities to elevate the competitive scene for female MLBB players and to strengthen support for diverse communities."

Additionally, Vice President of Operations and Growth at ESI, Fadzli Rahim stated the following,

Providing access to competitive platforms for smaller niches such as female-only tournaments and tournaments for people with disabilities have always been one of ESI’s main goals. By partnering with Gladiatrix Cup, we’re able to highlight the female MLBB ecosystem to a larger audience, and hopefully spurs further development or investment from industry players and team owners.”

The tournament will run from December 8th, through to December 18th, featuring an initial Group Stage, followed by a Playoff Stage. With registrations closing on December 6th, we are sure that many teams from these areas have put their best foot forward as they look to become the champions of the Gladiatrix Cup.
