VALORANT Shuffles: Sentinels' zombs announces his retirement

“It’s not worth it for me anymore.”

One of the original members of team Sentinels has announced that he is retiring from the professional VALORANT competition circuit. With all ten partner teams having announced their full rosters, players on the sideline are contemplating their next move.

However, in a recent live stream on his account, Jared "zombs" Gitlin announced that he will be retiring from the professional VALORANT circuit. zombs have been on Sentinels’ bench since April 2022. That was when the team bought Eric ”Kanpeki” Xu to shake things up.

In the same live stream, zombs shared that he considered putting a team of his own together, but in the end, decided to stop playing competitively rather than leave Sentinels.

“I was scrimming for like a week. The team I was making had some potential and we had some potential organizations interested. But then I went to Los Angeles, I talked to the SEN owner, and now I never want to leave SEN. I am staying on SEN forever.

I have been on SEN since the beginning, since they had like zero followers. I am not going to compete again. It’s not worth it for me anymore. I have opportunities that are better for the future.”

He has been an important member of the team – being part of the roster that won the team the Masters Reykjavik title in 2021. He originally joined Sentinels as an Apex Legends player before transitioning to VALORANT. As he mentioned that he will not leave the brand, he will most likely join the other Sentinel creators which include tarik, aceu, and sinatraa
