Gfinity announce $100,000 CS:GO invitational

Gfinity have partnered up with HP to present a $100,000 CS:GO invitational, taking place at the NEC in Birmingham later this month.

Gfinity have announced that they will be partnering with HP to bring a $100,000 CS:GO invitational to EGX 2016, taking place at the National Exhibition Centre in Birmingham, UK on September 22nd through 25th. The tournament will feature a total of four world-class CS:GO teams, that will battle it out in hopes of securing a portion of the ludicrous prize pool. Currently two teams have been announced: Sweden GODSENT and Germany mousesports, with two remaining unknown until a later date. The same applies to the broadcasting talent, which is yet to be revealed.

Martin Wyatt, Head of Partner Relations at Gfinity had the following to say post-announcement:

We're delighted to be taking world class CS:GO back to EGX and having it presented with Omen by HP. The combination of a tournament of this magnitude at the UK's biggest and best games show, the world class teams involved and in partnership with an incredible brand like Omen signals another hugely significant step forward for eSports in the UK.

The preliminary schedule for the event looks as follows, with exact times to be disclosed at a later date:
