The map picked was Mirage which is a very strong map for NIP, they managed to beat fnatic on mirage last month in close fashion.
Ninjas in Pyjamas got off to a very strong start winning the pistol round and the 2 follow up rounds. CLG came right back winning their first gun round. However, NIP bounced back again taking the next round due to 2 very quick shots by friberg to open up and close down A bombsite. NIP managed to take control of their Terrorist side by playing an agressive picking style as Friberg and Xizt found form early on taking lots of entry frags, picking CLG apart. NIP picked up a great first half winning 13:2 on their T side.
NIP continued their winning streak winning the second half pistol round, almost confirming their win. The North American team made a good comeback winning 5 straight rounds against the Swedish side. But they were shut down as NIP sucesfully closed out Mirage 16:7.
Ninjas in Pyjamas have previously had very weak group stage play, famously coming very close to being knocked out of the groups. Sweedish fans will likely be happy to see NIP extremely strong in groups.
