Day 1 of MSI Beat It Gosucup Asia concludes, Stage 2 brackets out

As the first day of Gosucup Asia ends, the second day begins as 24 teams move on to another single elimination stage of the tournament.

The tournament started out with a large 270 teams, all vying for the 24 slots allotted for teams advancing into the next day. Familar SEA names advanced into today's stage, scheduled to start this 16:00 SGT (10:00 CET).

While the games were mostly smooth sailing, some teams experienced a variety of server lag and spikes that caused teams such as HyperGloryTeam and CIS to pull out of the tournament due to connection problems.  Nonetheless, all battles were fought fair and the top 24 were determined. The full result in the open bracket can be seen here.

These will be advancing into stage 2, a single-elimination 32-team tournament wherein they will be joined upon by eight invited teams. Among the invited teams are Chinese team NewBee and SEA powerhouse Titan.

Execration, MiTH.Trust and Invasion backed out of the tournament because of schedule conflicts, and they are replaced by the team they beat prior to their stage 2 slot. Also, invited team LGD.Gaming is replaced by Korean team Rave, as the former backed out because of server issues.

Stage 2 will start and finish today. The 32 teams will be cut down into four, and those remaining teams today will advance into the final stage scheduled tomorrow. You can catch Basskip's English stream of the tournament here.
