The Tyrant and five-times premier tournament grand finalist Jaedong will not return to JinAir Greenwings, Daily Esports report. Jaedong's contract with EG has expired on November 30th and the famed Zerg will be able to either stay with the American team or search for a new home.
Jaedong was signed by Evil Geniuses in December 2012 when Team 8 leased him to the Americans, initially reported to only be until they could find a corporate sponsor. The deal was later revealed to be a full year loan, the duration of which ended three days ago.
With the expiration of the EG contract, Jaedong was supposed to return to Team 8, or Jin Air Greenwings as the team is now called. However, KeSPA has decided to respect the player's decision to not re-join with this former team-mates and so the future of the "Tyrant" is still undecided.
Considering his enormous fanbase, it will not be a surprise of Jaedong decides to re-sign with Evil Geniuses. During 2013, Jaedong reached premier grand finals (getting silver medals in all five of them) and also holds top four finishes at WCS America Season 3 and DreamHack Stockholm.
Jaedong is also the highest earning pro-gamer of all time, according to esportsearning.com, having won $489,384.83.
