Azubu release Violet and three more

The August roster updates as provided by PlayXP report the release of four Azubu players as well as the retirement of MVP's NAKSEO.

The departure of Azubu's captain and top performing player Kim "Violet" Dong Hwan comes exactly one year after the Zerg was offered sponsorship by the Korean company. Wearing the Azubu colors, Azubu has brought the team a large number of achievements, inlcuding silver medals from IPL 5 and NASL 4, top four at IEM VII Cologne and various top eight finishes across other premier tournaments.

As his contract is not to be renewed, Violet will no longer be a part of Azubu, along with Eve, Inca and TOP. While the latter three have not been bringing in big results, the release of Violet certainly begs the question what the future of Azubu will entail and if any of the players signed a month after Inca, TOP and Eve - particularly GSL finalist Symbol, Terran powerhouses Ganzi and Supernova and Zerg talent BBoong - will remain part of Azubu for the long run.

We remind you that a month ago, Azubu released its entire Korean branch and although it was said that the eSports team will keep its support, StarCraft 2 fans had their doubts whether the roster will last for long.
