After a few days of rest between round 5's week one and two, the join roster returns to the prestigious tournament with a 4-2 win against CJ Entus, courtesy of Jaedong and HerO.
Having suffered an all kill last week at the hands of STX's Innovation, EG-TL were in direst. Last in the group with 10-19 and -32 points, the joint roster knew they have very little time to make a comeback and reach the playoffs. Thus, their win against CJ Entus today was more or less essential.
Revival versus Effort was series' opening match in which EG's newest recruit was quickly eliminated as Effort was diligent in denying his natural. Down one game, EG-TL went straight for the heavy artillery and so Jaedong stepped in to win the mutalisk war against Effort and shut out Bong as well, using burrowed roach attacks and defensive swarm host to put EG-TL in the lead.
Jaedong would eventually be shut down by hero[join] who hit a timing just before JD's swarm host tech could come into play but he in turn suffered elimination as HerO was called forth. The Liquid Protoss used a proxy oracle opening to fry out herO's economy and followed this win with a standard phoenix into 3-base stalker/robo push to secure the 4-2 for EG-TL.

In the other match for the night, Woongjin Stars further solidified their lead in the rankings, once again displaying just a solid, safe and dominating play. Free was Stars' hero for the night as the Protoss took care of TY, Terminator and Cure to scoreboard a triple kill for himself, allowing Soulkey to come in for the clean-up once his streak was eventually ended by Argo.
Currently, Woongjin Stars are 26 points and six wins ahead of the 2nd in the rankings, KT Rolster who will go against STX tomorrow in attempt to increase the gap between them and SK Telecom. SKT themselves play Samsung KHAN so this will be a playday to determine how the 2-5th spot will look like till the next match session.
