The German Starcraft movie maker dyo have been interviewed by Dinnin over at WGTour. A very well written interview where we get to know a bit about the young German. It can be seen that Dinnin spent a lot when reading the interview.
dyo has become quite well known within the Starcraft community for his well made Starcraft movies. When he isn't in school he spends his time just as anyone else. Hanging out with friends, sporting and of course gaming and film creating.Dinnin: How many hours does it take for you to create a complete movie? Lets take the WCG 2004 movies as an example.
Dyo: I think that the WCG Movie took me around 40 hours in total. Its also the one which I spend most work on, since I looked through mass-replays. Especially the weekend before the release...
After the success with his first movies the more than well known clan pro-Gaming contacted him and wanted a Starcraft squad movie. A lot of us have seen the result. "I am a honorary member at pG now and I am wearing the tag proudly on IRC. I don't have the [pG] tag on B.net though since its would probably be a disgrace for the other players", dyo explains.
In the end of the interview he explains how he does his movies. Perhaps someone will be inspired to try and do one? If you do, make sure to let the rest of us know!
