Blizzard North has opened up a new position for a lead game designer. It doesn't take a genius to really figure out what title they are most likely looking to lead. Wording such as looking for a someone to "help lead the team that designed Diablo and Diablo II" is pretty obvious.
This means that Blizzard is most likely developing Diablo III. The description goes on to say that you must have "Experience working on RPG titles." So if anyone is interested in heading down to San Mateo, CA to work as the lead designer for their next project head over to Blizzard's site.
Sadly this shows us as StarCraft fans that more likely than not their next project IS NOT StarCraft II. Either that or they are planning an RPG type game set in the StarCraft universe which is not likely either because StarCraft: Ghost is still in production and I have yet to see Blizzard produce two different games that are set in the same universe. But of course I could be wrong, and only time will tell. In other StarCraft: Ghost news EBGames.com has updated their release date for the game and extended it to December 31st, 2005 for all consoles. Who knows when this game is coming out, but we will keep you up to date with all the latest details as we get them and will have coverage of the game at this years E3 expo.
