CEDS brings the spotlight to Central Europe

Familiar teams from four countries (Czech Republic, Slovakia, Poland and Hungary) pop up in the brand new Central Europe DotA Series (CEDS) - a tournament league created to promote and facilitate competition in Central Europe's professional DotA circuit. With a total prize pool that will hit 600 Euros, CEDS has attracted the participation of many promising teams.

Season 1 will soon be on its way and will consist of five mini-tournaments. Each placing at the mini-tournaments give you specific number of points which will then tally up. The team that has gathered the most points at the end of Season 1 takes home the grand prize.

The entire league is split into two divisions, A and B, with the former consisting of eight teams and the latter sixteen. The teams comprising the divisions are subject to change every mini-tournament and each team's promotion or demotion ultimately depends on their performance in the previous mini-tournament.

Points System
First Place 8 points
Second Place 6 points
Third Place 4 points
Fourth Place 3 points
Fifth Place 2 points
Others 1 points

Division A
Division A will consist of the teams playing for final placings. Similar to the tournament structure for Division B, it will be played with a double elimination bracket featuring a Winner's and Loser's Bracket. This will then culminate in a Grand Final where the Winner's Bracket finalist will get a one-game advantage over the team coming from the Loser's Bracket.

Division B
For the teams in Division B, there is not much to worry about, as the winning team can still get a slot in Division A for the next mini-tournament. Unfortunately, the bottom four teams will get relegated to qualifications to allow for fresh faces to enter the league.

Invited Teams
Slovakia Storm Games Clan (SGC)
Slovakia iNfernity Gaming (iN)
Czech Republic nEophyte (nEph)
Hungary C00L DotA GaminG (C00L)
Poland Young Suckers (YS)

For now, it looks like these will be the teams starting us off in the main tournament, along with the following teams who have qualified for Division A - Feed need Weed (FnW), SECREG and n0gy0ngy0ng0 (ngy). Last but not least, the 16 teams filling up Division B have been hand-picked by Admins based on their performances in qualification games.

With so much competition ahead of us, let us wish all participating teams the best of luck in the tournament(s). Fans can certainly look forward to intense clashes and replays provided by the league.

Season 1
First Place 300 Euros
Second Place 200 Euros
Third Place 100 Euros

Who will emerge victorious as the king of Central Europe? This, we're afraid, only time will tell.
