Warcraft III: The Reign of Charity

Minsk, Belarus to Host Tournament.

Contrary to popular belief, European Warcraft III isn't quite dead yet. 4Play.by is sponsoring a Warcraft III tournament in Minsk, Belarus. The tournament will begin at 9:00 AM on Nov. 14, 2010 at the "V3" Internet Club just off of the Victory Square Metro Station. Tournament registration is open until Nov. 12 and will be capped at a maximum of thirty-two players. The following players have have already registered:

The map pool will consist of Echo Isles, Secret Valley, Turtle Rock, Melting Valley, Ancient Isles, Terenas Stand, and Twisted Meadows. The participants will battle it out in a double elimination format with the winner taking home cash and a sponsor-awarded prize.

Replays.net reports that the tournament's organizing committee has promised to donate a portion of the proceeds to local Minsk charities. Welcome news for the cold months ahead.
